Hey all,

It's me again with an usefull topic.
I made this topic, because I regularly come past some CS or CR containing virussus, or the well-know "No :sid for :svd" error.

I will update this topic, when I find any of those, but would also like to hear what your experiences are.
Allways provide us with a reason, because we want to know what is inside the download, and what is wrong with it.

If you find any downloads, which is said to contain more items, but doesn't give you them, I would like to hear also.

Last but not least; bad content. We all know it. Report content if it's rubbish, but allways provide me with the reason why that's your opinion. this can be low textures, copied content and even bugged things.

I sometimes take a look at the codes.
i even found something, which was a special bot, it did sound great, and was able to do much new things, till I looked up the code.
Found out that it was all fake, and it did send every single password you entered on your computer to an emailadress of the maker.

And yea, found some Trojans in CS, but i removed it all.
Got a new computer, so I will be searching for this kind of nasty tricks, to dispose of.

Virusses can easily be placed, if you have no antivirus program, I don't know how he/she managed to do that though. I don't know which sets it were, but I expect it to be a bot which has been created a few years ago.
The shouldve made you able to look through your visitors eyes, and walk as one yourself.
Never worked, so I deleted it the first day. Might be that one containing the spyware.

I do not see this being possible. Aside from the few sets that use a .exe file to install, it would be very difficult to somehow convince a user to run a program installing the virus without it looking extremely conspicuous.

Well it was not that funny when my computer didn't start anymore, and it turned out the hard drive crashed.
It was because of a virus.

i have recently had the same problem. my hard drive crashed due to a dodgey rct3 file >:l

Because I only downloaded EE files, and HP told me that it was because of something I downloaded from Vodhin.org

There was a virus that was present on Vodhin's site at one point that pretended to be Windows' security system, but by no means was it present in any set, nor did it originate from any set. It just came from Vodhin's site.

well, to be fsir it wasnt actually just the rct3 set. and now ive got my laptop back ~yay~ it was simply my hard drivfe had a melt down due to me shaking my laptop about whilst playing a high def disk. not just a dodgey set. infact, i dont think it was a dodgey set at all

But it still is possible to find Stuff containing virusses!
Just say whenever you find one!

Well you be sure to post the file name and link to all the ones with virus/trojans/adware/malicious files or any type threat you find. PB&J and myself would love to tear them apart seeing how were somewhat programming literate.     

Krankin, There's a report on the cs list staff panel  of Aztec Extras having a virus, Heres a link if you wanna check that out: http://cslist.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?item=1137 I think the link is dead though.

With out a working link or file can't do anything. It probably wasn't the file but more likely to be the host site.

I see the site is down and was it hacked?

All the "FREE WEB" host run ads on your page. Some browser (like Chrome) will reject the page with a warning or might be picked up by your anti-virus. That does not mean the file had a virus.
