Custom Content / Re: I need help installing Daszmat's studio tour
« on: July 07, 2013, 09:07:29 AM »
If you place the Cars and Tracks folder into your RCT3 directory, I don't think it will overwrite the folders. However, if you feel uncomfortable doing this, what you said you did should work fine. If you place the folder CTR_DMStudioTour inside the folder Cars>TrackedRideCars, and the folder CTR_Dasmazte_StudioTour inside the tracks>TrackedRides folder, it should appear in the game. Make sure you check inside the transport rides in the game if you have not.

Nope! You can essentially build anything at any size you want. There is a certain size where the game could potentially crash (like, covering 30+ tiles I believe). If you ever run into that problem, there is a setting in the importer to turn off the shadow for that object. I'm going to assume you're not going to be building anything that big, so I don't see the sense in explaining that. But if I'm wrong, just let me know. ;)

Custom Content / Re: Can't download .rar files..
« on: January 25, 2013, 07:51:28 PM »
That is really strange. I have never experienced any issues with .rar files and I use winzip. Is there anyway you could elaborate on what you are doing perhaps? If it's any consolation, all of my scenery can be downloaded in .zip format from my site. It really just seems strange to me that all of those programs have the same error. Have you tried a different browser perhaps? :-\

After the game freezes, try minimizing the game and seeing if there is an error message. If it is something like "No SVD for SID" then you have not installed the scenery correctly.

Is there an error present when you close the game?

I wasn't sure if it corresponded to your issue in some way.

If I try to visit the CS Depot using the latest Safari browser, my entire computer lags and then Safari crashes. Safari can load the CS Depot forums fine, but not the homepage. Using a different browser such as Firefox on the same machine loads the homepage without any issues.

If it is his, it is not something he made recently. Most of Dasmatze's latest objects have utilized texture baking and the CFR pictured does not. The only distinct part of the CFR that looks like Dasmatze's are the seats. They resemble the ones from his Eurofighter CTR. However, it is hard to tell whether they are actually the same.

Custom Content / Re: Does a monorail track guide for sketchup exist?
« on: September 07, 2012, 06:16:00 PM »
Nope! There isn't one. I recommend finding a custom scenery set with a measurement tool such as Dasmatze's Utilities and using that to get the approximate size.

No, there is not a specific set of guides for monorail tracks.

The buildings are made with shyguy's Catfish Cove. The flat-ride I am not sure of since I hardly pay attention to CFR's. The texturing is by no means up to the standards that Dasmatze has displayed recently, so I highly doubt he made it.

Oops, sorry about that. Try this one:

Spacemtnman made a plugin for Sketchup that includes a few track pieces. It can be downloaded here in post #80:

If you want more information it should be there in the thread. Good job so far!

There was a virus that was present on Vodhin's site at one point that pretended to be Windows' security system, but by no means was it present in any set, nor did it originate from any set. It just came from Vodhin's site.

How did you determine the hard drive crashed from an RCT3 file? Do you know what set it was toofpikk?

Custom Content / Re: The "Recommended-not-to-download" topic

I do not see this being possible. Aside from the few sets that use a .exe file to install, it would be very difficult to somehow convince a user to run a program installing the virus without it looking extremely conspicuous.

Codes? What codes? Unless there's an installer, there's no way any virus could ever be placed in your computer. What sets were these?

You've found CS containing viruses? I have never read of this or come across such a thing myself.

We made it closer except the roller coaster creater panel showed up and had blank ride icons and the only things running was the trash icon and the show heights icon.
I have no idea... You included all of the track sections, correct?

There should have been a .pdf file that came with the CTR Creator that listed every car in the game and its corresponding track type. Look at that list and decide on a track type. After you decide which track type you want, copy and paste the track section names from the track section list that is also included.

I can't see any errors really. Click the "Write BahnDaten" button. This will check for errors. After you install the BahnDaten, it still does not show up? Also, Track16 seems like it may not be a "true" rollercoaster track. I don't have the track list handy to check, but make sure it's not appearing in a different menu in the game such as other tracked rides (towards the bottom of the buttons for rides).

The folder that was extracted from the .rar file (CTR_Everest) needs to go in Your RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3 Directory>Cars>TrackedRideCars. After you have placed that folder there, you will need to create a BahnDaten in the CTR Creator for the cars. This is why they are not showing up in the game. If you are unsure how to do this, there are tutorials included with the CTR Creator, or you may be able to find a request thread for someone to make a BahnDaten for you.

My Peril Miner? It's not an exact match, but it could work. I want to say someone has tried making an Expedition Everest CTR, but I do not think it has ever been released. As far as tips go for that reverse part, there's not much you can do about that. Even if you use my CTR, you will still need to combine the two different rides with video editing.

You will need to rotate the bone in the importer. When you are setting the effect points, there should be a button that will allow you to edit the orientation of the bone. In that window there should be an area where you can change the orientation. It's been a while since I've done it for static scenery though.

Have you been to Shyguy's World at all? You'll get a lot more feedback and responses there. It's the "SGW" tab at the top of the page.

Double click the icon in the CTR Creator's folder of the kids riding the rollercoaster.

Nope, that's not possible. A completely new track would need to be started.

The read-me should include everything you need to know about using the Guided Tour custom track. If you have both the Jeep CTR installed and the CT, everything should work fine.

I am not capable of making custom tracks.

If you do not have the Wild expansion pack, it will not work. You can see what the cars can do here:

Download it here:

The CTR requires you download the Guided Tour CT also:
