He's German sorry! :D

When I want to get to grips with a new CS set, I pop the grid on and place all the objects included down. Then I can take a look at what I've got and see how it'll line up. Usually (well, I made my sets to do so!), the walls get placed on the inside of a tile. That leaves the outside of the tile free to place beams, columns, windows, doors, awnings and whatever else your imagination sees fit.

 :)

^ Delete only works on objects that have collision detection. You wouldn't be able to overlap pieces and intersect them if they had collision detection on so although deleting is a pain, I find it's best not to use it. Save often and before placing structures helps  :)

There's some lovely structures here too - http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,3225.0.html

DaLeStation set

Hello, there's a thread to use on SGW if you're searching for sets - http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,939.3240.html
You're more likely to get a response when you post in the proper thread. This thread is for saying hello to djF.

Hello djF! ;D

« on: May 24, 2012, 04:58:54 AM »
This happened to me too, I think it's happened to everyone that tries CS making!

You'll need to re-apply the texture in SU. Make sure you set the pins properly the first time you introduce a new texture, select the face (just the face, no edges) with the texture on it, right click and select texture/position and then pull the pins to where you need them). I then use the eyedropper tool from here on in to apply it to different models, that should ensure it'll turn out as it's supposed to.

I'm not totally sure but I think this happened to me when I painted the texture to a group instead of a face. So if you have an untextured model that's already been grouped, you'll have to edit the group before applying your texture. Hope that makes sense, it's tough to explain!  :D

that's ok I'm trying to make some scenery but for some reason they wont export from google sketch  :(

Have you got the Sketchup plug-ins for RCT? PB&J has covered everything in his tutorials.

That's part one of his tutorials, you'll find a link to the plug-ins there :)

If it's crashing, installing it wrong is the main culprit! I've seen these cars in use so just check the readme again and make sure. :)
For the inverted track, just select a barrel roll before adding the station. See here - http://www.revolutionaryrides.net/index-3.html

Ok, the track shouldn't be inverted as it's a wooden coaster! Hate to ask the obvious but did you install it corrrectly? There are 3 car fies and 1 track file.

Place "CTR_JimsWoodiesTrack" into your track/TrackedRides folder and "CTR_Generic1car", "CTR_Timberwolf" and "CTR_Halloween" into your cars/TrackRideCars folder.

No-one else has had this issue sorry. You can PM me a pic of what's happening and the error message you get if it's still not working :) And hold tight for more wooden cars coming soon! ;D

That would be perfect! :D It just makes sense that the uploader spends 1 minute linking their thread rather than us spending 5 or 10 looking for it :) Thanks!

Obviously that's what we've been doing but things would move faster my end if the uploader gaves us a heads up as to whether or not their set has a thread. A polite notice would do! :D

I think that's a no, Ghack! :)

I was wondering if there was a way to get uploaders to add links to their CS threads when they upload their files? Finding threads is something I'm struggling with since I'm not familiar with any other RCT site (I'm too SGW for those other forums! :P). It really would help and it'd benefit both us and the uploader.

Getting them to fill in the whole template would be awesome but it might be asking a bit much! ;D

General Chat / Re: [HLP] How to put downloads??
« on: February 11, 2012, 04:37:40 PM »
Do you mean adding CS to the downloads section?

If so, go to downloads section, click on "custom scenery" and you'll see "ADD A DOWNLOAD" (it's in capitals, that's not me shouting :D). It's straight forward from there, add a description, a picture and the CS file. :)
